The IJM is delighted to present an afternoon with Yanky Fachler of The Jewish Historical Society of Ireland. The talk will take place at the IJM Sunday, September 25th, 2016 at 4PM.
Although Jews lived and thrived in Poland for almost a thousand years until the Holocaust, the Polish Catholic Church had a long history of antisemitism. In this talk, Yanky explores the relationship between the Church and the Jews through the prism of three 20th century events that shocked the world: The 1941 massacre in Jedwabne; the 1946 pogrom in Kielce; and the 1980’s Auschwitz convent scandal.
Please, reserve your seat by emailing the IJM at firstname.lastname@example.org.
