Yanky Fachler

In this talk, writer, historian and broadcaster Yanky Fachler describes the history of Blood Libels, starting in Britain in the 12th century. 19th century Blood Libels helped fuel the birth of Zionism. Blood Libels persist into the modern day, with Arab and Islamic media making frequent references to it as if it were fact. As recently as July 2014, a Hamas spokesperson repeated the Blood Libel. Yanky explores the origins and the devastating consequences of Blood Libels, one of the most virulent forms of anti-Semitism.
