A documentary on the life of Estella Solomons, the Irish landscape and portrait painter and contemporary of Joyce. Born in Dublin in 1882 in a country on the verge of great political and social change, she joined the struggle for independence and her portraits record three generation of rebels, artists and literary figures who forged the new Ireland.
